Anodizing

Anodizing is an electrochemical process that thickens the natural oxide layer on the surface of metals to increase durability and corrosion resistance. While most commonly associated with aluminum, other non-ferrous metals can also be treated such as titanium and magnesium.

Vios offers three main types of anodizing: Type I Chromic Acid Anodize, Type II Sulfuric Acid Anodize, and Type III Hard Anodize.

Achieving consistent color across large or complex parts (e.g., curved aluminum extrusions) is challenging, but with 25 years experience, Vios is expert in handling this tickle. Anodized aluminum is available in a wide range of colors. We provide both natural and colored anodizing options to match your aesthetic specifications: Black, Bronze, Gold, Silver, Red, Blue, Green and Purple etc.

Black: widely used in automotive and electronics industry for it sleek appearance.
Bronze: a warm, timeless metallic tone usually for architectural and furniture hardware.
Gold: usually used in decorative applications with luxurious appearance.
Silver: provides a clean, modern aesthetic favored in architectural elements and premium consumer goods.
Red etc: mainly used in sporting goods or consumer electronics to add visual appeal.
